This page explains what the Town of Pierce website collects and what it does with it. It is written to be read, not to protect us.

We do not use tracking cookies

This site sets no advertising or tracking cookies. There is no cookie consent banner because there is nothing to consent to.

Visitor statistics

We use Matomo, an analytics tool the Town runs on its own infrastructure, to count visits and see which pages are useful. It is configured without cookies, and it honours your browser's "Do Not Track" setting.

Your visit data stays on Town systems. It is not sent to an advertising company and it is not sold or shared.

Forms you fill in

When you send a message through a form on this site, we receive what you typed, along with your IP address and browser, which help us identify automated spam.

We keep submissions only as long as we need them, and in some cases as long as Colorado records retention schedules require. Messages sent to the Town may be subject to disclosure under the Colorado Open Records Act.

Do not send Social Security numbers, card details or other sensitive personal information through a web form. Call Town Hall instead.

Services hosted elsewhere

Utility payments, court payments and the Municipal Code are provided by other organisations on their own websites. Once you follow a link to them, their privacy policies apply, not ours.

Translation

If you use the automatic translation feature, the page text is sent to a third-party translation service to be translated.
