The Town of Pierce is committed to making this website usable by everyone, including residents who use screen readers, magnification, speech input or keyboard-only navigation.

The standard we work to

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) version 2.2, Level AA. This site was built to that standard rather than retrofitted to it.

What we have done

• Every page has a skip link, landmark regions and a logical heading order.
• All functionality works with a keyboard, and the focus indicator is always visible.
• Text and background colours meet the required contrast ratios.
• Images carry alternative text, and decorative images are hidden from screen readers.
• Download links state the file format and size before you open them.
• Scanned documents such as signed meeting minutes are published with a text version, so they can be read aloud and searched.

Known limitations

Some older documents in our archive are scans that do not yet have a text version. We are working through them. If you need one urgently, contact us and we will prioritise it.

Some services are hosted by other organisations — utility and court payments, the Municipal Code, and the Weld County property portal. We do not control their accessibility, but we will help you use them.

Machine translation

This site offers automatic translation. Machine translations may contain errors and the English version is the official record. For help with a document in Spanish, please call Town Hall.

If you cannot access something on this site, we want to know. Report it through our website feedback form, or call Town Hall on (970) 834-2851 between 9:00 am and 4:30 pm, Monday to Friday.

Please tell us the page address, what you were trying to do, and what went wrong. We aim to respond within three working days.
