Bulky Trash Items

WELD COUNTY, CO – The Weld County Department of Public Health and Environment (WCDPHE) is helping residents clean up without the cost. The department is providing a limited number of vouchers for residents to dispose of large items at the Front Range Landfill in Erie, free of charge. This program, which ends on Dec. 31, 2024, provides an excellent opportunity for Weld County residents to responsibly discard items like mattresses, couches and tables at no cost to them.

The landfill vouchers will be limited to one per Weld County address and are only valid for the Front Range Landfill at 1830 Weld County Rd. 5, Erie, CO 80516. Each voucher will cover one truckload level with bed rails, or one trailer, weighing up to one ton. Any charges exceeding the voucher limits will be the responsibility of the resident and will need to be paid at the time of disposal.

Residents can sign up for a voucher on the Weld County Household Hazardous Waste (HHW) page atweld.gov/go/hhw. Once registered, vouchers can be picked up at either of Weld County’s HHW locations during operating hours:

  • Dacono Location: Open every Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday 9: a.m. to 4 p.m.
    5500 Highway 52, Dacono.
  • Greeley Location: Open every Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. 1311 N. 17th Avenue, Greeley.

Don't miss this opportunity to clean up without the cost! For details about acceptable items, drop off hours and other landfill questions, visit www.frontrangelandfill.com or call (303) 637-9431. For information about the program, or to sign up for a voucher, visit weld.gov/go/hhw.
