Pierce elects a Mayor and five Trustees as part of the Weld County coordinated election. Nomination petitions may be filed with the Town Clerk until 4:30 pm on 24 August 2026.

The regular municipal election for the Town of Pierce will be held as part of the Weld County coordinated election on Tuesday, 3 November 2026.

Standing for election

Nomination petitions may be obtained from the Town Clerk at Town Hall, 144 Main Avenue, Pierce.

Petitions may be circulated from 4 August 2026. The last day to file a nominating petition with the Town Clerk is 4:30 pm Mountain Time on 24 August 2026.

Who can stand

A candidate must be:

at least 18 years of age;
a United States citizen;
a registered elector in the Town of Pierce;
resident in the Town of Pierce for the twelve consecutive months before the election.

Seats being contested

One Mayor — four year term, ending November 2030
Three Trustees — four year terms, ending November 2030
Two Trustees — two year terms, ending November 2028

The length of each Trustee term is determined by the number of votes each candidate receives.

Registering to vote, and where to vote

This is a coordinated election, so voter registration and the ballots themselves are handled by Weld County rather than by the Town. Register or check your registration through the Colorado Secretary of State.
